Ready to cheer on the fantastic Cowtown Marathon runners? Here’s your chance to follow the Marathon race and catch some Fort Worth sights!
Come on down to Will Rogers Memorial Center! Park for FREE at the UNT Health Science Center located at Camp Bowie Blvd. and Montgomery Street and take a short walk to the Amon Carter Museum. There you can cheer your runner as they start their race!
Then, head south on Montgomery to I-30. Go east on I-30 to I-35, exit north. Take I-35 north and exit NE 28th street. Going west (left) on NE 28th, turn left (south) on Main and then left on Stockyards Blvd to park at Billy Bob’s. Scoot yer boots on over to Main and join the Marines and the Boy Scouts in whoopin’ it up for the runners just past the 10K mark.
Drive back down NE 28th to I-35, heading downtown. Exit on Spur 280 to Sundance Square parking. Mosey on down to 4th and Houston, the Gateway Lot, and join St. Paul Lutheran and they give a holler to the runners as they near mile 10.
Next, head back down I-35, south, to Allen Ave. Turn right (west) on Allen and turn right on Henderson. Park at Fairmount Park and give a shout to the runners with the Historic Fairmount Neighborhood Association, then join them for Pancakes in the Park!
Take Allen Ave. back to I-35 south, then to I-20 west. Exit Trail Lake Drive, over Granbury Road and come on down to Foster Park. Round up with the folks from Prevent Blindness and Southwest High School and say howdy to the runners as they approach mile 19!
Finish up your tour of our great city: Drive back east on I-20 to north I-35, then west on I-30. Exit on Montgomery, turn north (right) and come on back to the Will Rogers Memorial Center. Park either back at the UNT Health Science Center or at any of the Will Rogers lots (for a $5 fee). Meet your runner and enjoy the activities on “Cowtown Alley” (Burnett-Tandy Drive at the Will Rogers complex).
