The Cowtown Marathon Office Relocation

The Cowtown, the largest multi-race running event in North Texas, will move its offices to 3548 S. Hills Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas, 76109, in the Westcliff Shopping Center from 2617 Whitmore Avenue in Fort Worth, with an expected moving date sometime in June, 2023.

The move stems from The Cowtown’s growth, the need for adequate parking and the opportunity to provide additional community programming from a location that is adjacent to Texas Christian University, Trinity Trails, and several Fort Worth ISD schools. The lease, for approximately 15,000 square feet, is for a minimum of 10 years, making this a long-term relationship with the Westcliff neighborhood.

Kim Martin Company represented The Cowtown while LanCarte Commercial Real Estate represented the owners of the building at the Westcliff Shopping Center. A former Cook Children’s Facility, the large and open space is being renovated by Tryba Architects. With their assistance the building will be perfectly suited to house race-related storage and retail operations, runner training activities, adult fitness classes and the C.A.L.F. summer camps.

“We could not be more excited about our new location, where we can operate from a larger facility in a neighborhood where we can grow community outreach and better serve runners and families with quality programming and race activities,” said Heidi Swartz, The Cowtown Executive Director.

Westcliff Shopping Center, anchored by Albertson’s, is a family friendly location, centrally located to large cultural attractions and accessible to both I-20 and I-30.

The Cowtown C.A.L.F. (Children’s Activities for Life and Fitness) Program:  As part of The Cowtown mission to promote a lifelong love of fitness, The C.A.L.F. Program was created in 2009. C.A.L.F programming benefits approximately 150 schools across North Texas annually. The program trains students in proper running technique and educates them about resting heart rate, the importance of hydration, proper nutrition and living an active lifestyle. Through our school grant program, we identify low-income children and fit them properly with a new pair of running shoes, socks, and provide them grants to make entry fees to The Cowtown February races more affordable. We have made running a 5K race a reality for over 50,000 children in the last 14 years.
